From start to finish, the contouring bass-line foreordains the high levels of funk. Joined by the rip-roaring guitar riffs and the grounding drum pulse, the musicality has an authentic fervour. The alluring, seductive vocals have you listening to every word. The lyrics articulate a tale of a long distance romance and how absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Talking about the song, Vitamins by Cassia, the lead singer, Rob Ellis proclaimed, “It’s about being in a long-distance relationship and the weirdly scheduled calls that become an unmissable fix, almost like a drug. The distance can bring up all kinds of uncertainties and fears but knowing the next call isn’t far away is like a vitamin boost that you need to get through the day, like a good Berocca.”

Cassia is a Macclesfield based trio comprised of Rob Ellis (lead vocals, guitar), Lou Cotterill (bass, vocals) and Jacob Leff (drums and vocals). This class act is already garnering much attention across Europe and it is clear to see (or should I say hear) why! The fittingly named number Vitamins will re-energise you and give you back your bb bounce!
