Clara Lars – Addicted

Addicted by Clara Lars is an emotive, story telling track with the narrative being unhealthy love and friendship. Unfortunately many of us can relate to accepting or normalising behaviours which we would never normally dream of putting up with, finding an exception. Why, one asks? If only we knew… So put your headphones on and get ready to become addicted!

The striking piano starts this indie pop track, Addicted. Then the rhythm speeds up pretty quickly with marching like drum pounds and an array of synthesised sounds. This piano propelled pop tune has an almost dreamy feeling which is enhanced by Clara Lars‘s appealing, feathery vocals. Then the song ends in the same way it starts, with some striking piano keys.

On social media, Clara Lars shared, “my new single “Addicted” is officially out on all streaming platforms!! this song is my favorite song that i have ever written, and i’m excited to finally share it with everyone! i wrote “Addicted” about running back to people who you shouldn’t run back to. hope that you like the song!!” We certainly like the song and in particular the insightful lyrics as well as the soundscape which makes one instantly bop about.

Sixteen year old Clara Lars has been meddling with music since a tender age. She is a Boston born but LA based artist. Clara experimented with various instruments before becoming enamoured with the piano. Journaling her thoughts and experiences, which she draws on for her lyrics, was the next step. This curiosity and creative drive has enabled her to write, sing and even record her own songs. A collaborative producer, Chris Coady, once mentioned, “For Clara, the process of writing is both confessional and observational, with lyrics that resonate well beyond her 16 years.”

The recently released single Addicted by Clara Lars is her second, after the track Don’t Leave. These two amazing tracks will appear on her up coming EP titled Illusions. So while you get addicted listening to Clara Lars‘s new song Addicted, don’t forget about keeping an eye (or should I say ear) out for her debut EP Illusions.
