easy life – Ocean View

The fun, sun-kissed track titled Ocean View by easy life should be added to your summer playlist pronto. It’s easy listening at its best. Put it on repeat and you will never get bored. The upbeat rhythm and soundscape are addictive. So put your headphones on and chillax at the beach with Ocean View playing in the background.

I guess we should actually be thanking American singer/songwriter Emilia Ali for the inspiration behind the song Ocean View by easy life. The basis of the song actually came from Ali’s song Loved the Ocean. easy life sped up the rhythm, increased the pitch and even kept the chorus. They did claim the song as their own by writing the verses and adding a very large dose of funk which has distanced the hit from its original life. Emilia Ali not only approved of the groovy new take on her song, but agreed to have her sweet, almost child like vocals appear throughout the song.

When discussing the song Ocean View, easy life told the site floodmagazine that, “All of a sudden, the day at the beach isn’t going so well. After sampling the gorgeous “Loved the Ocean” by Emilia Ali, we added kick, snare, Prophet-5, and that was it. This was a spontaneous song that just happened and we love it. It’s littered with nostalgic memories from past encounters and essentially serves to undermine the optimism that was established early on in the record. Perhaps the world really is fucked up after all? There actually are people who exist who simply don’t love the ocean—how bizarre.”

easy life formed in 2017 and are an English quintet born and bred in Leicester. The members are Murray Matravers (vocals, synthesizer, keyboard, trumpet), Oliver Cassidy (drums, percussion), Sam Hewitt (bass guitar, saxophone, backing vocals), Lewis Alexander Berry (guitar) and Jordan Birtles (percussion, keyboard, backing vocals). Basically, with all of that talent, they are their own orchestra.

The compilation Ocean View by easy life appears on their latest album entitled Life’s a Beach which was released in 2021. This fun, symphonic song encapsulates everything about the beach and disperses a relaxed summer loving vibe. Having said that, don’t delay a moment longer to enjoy the song Ocean View by easy life!
