Brudini – Pale Gold

Brudini grew up amongst the fjords of the southwest Norwegian coast with his Norwegian father and Thai mother. He is quite well travelled and now works out of London. His track Pale Gold is gold! Right from the start, with the notes from the tuba, to the very end, Brudini allures us with his authenticity and originality. The atypical rhythm and ethereal trumpet bursts chaperone the smouldering story telling voice of Brudini.

Indeed this talented artist wrote, recorded and produced this piece as well as playing most of the instruments bar the drums, tuba and trumpet which are played by Derin Bayhan, Casper Hoedemaekers and Audun Waage respectively.

Brudini, a once part owner of The Society Club in Soho, London, explains: “The song is about no longer identifying with what’s happening around you, and making a decision to move on.”

“Written five years ago, it ended up having plenty of parallels to my own life where I saw The Society Club prosper and go bankrupt, a long term relationship ended, I decided to leave my professional career, and I am ultimately abandoning London in order to be closer to my three-year-old daughter, at a time when Circus Boris seems hellbent on abandoning the EU.”

All of these experiences, tangible to so many, manifest in the song Pale Gold. The clever, creative and innovative style of Brudini certainly grasps one’s attention!
