The song Saved Me by Our Violet Room is a pure musical masterpiece just waiting to elate one’s… entire core. Not only will the ears be enchanted, but the heart, mind and soul will be jubilantly reached too. So put your headphones on and prepare for an emotionally charged and rich experience!
This cleverly and carefully crafted track, Saved Me by Our Violet Room, will bewitch you immediately with its simply gorgeous soundscape. The austere violin, the majestic guitar strums, the elegant accordion and other graceful percussion sounds melt together to create a powerful aura and feeling of melancholy simultaneously mixed with heartwarming strength. The delicate piano at the end of the song seems to make these sentiments linger for longer, leaving one in a moment of reflection.
Our Violet Room is the moniker of Denver indie-folk artist Matthew Birch. Our Violet Room‘s website states that he has, “A humble story of overcoming depression, working hard, and diving headfirst into his dream, Birch only has one goal…. to make thoughtful, well-made, emotional art that inspires his listeners and causes them to feel.” And feel we certainly do! Our Violet Room has an uncanny way of wearing his heart on his sleeve and sharing his deeper, darker experiences for the greater good. What is more, his smooth crooning vocals on this track only increase the emotional impact of the song.
you saved me
you did
you saved me
you didn’t know that then
you hurt me
you did
you hurt me
and you knew it then
Saved Me is a story about getting hurt, being at your lowest point but somehow turning the situation around and making something better, stronger, productive! About the song Saved Me, Our Violet Room stated, “Sometimes pain and hurt and trauma are the very things that save you. Saved Me is about how those things forced me to become the person I was always meant to be and how it took me places I never would have gone without the pain. I’m not excusing the person and or people that cause the pain, I’m just saying, sometimes, those evils are turned into great good. I wouldn’t be who I am without my great losses. But during those losses “sometimes I don’t want to, be, here now”.”
Saved Me is the seventh single on Our Violet Room‘s recently released debut album titled Not Where I Thought I’d Be. On social media, Our Violet Room shared, “Three years in the making. A lot of things in this world have changed during the last three years but one thing that hasn’t is the support and friends that have helped me make this release a reality.” Aww, what a total gentleman! And it just so happened that two songs which we previously published (Loss (And I) and Winter) are housed on the very same album! So download it immediately and enjoy it without moderation!
