Greta Isaac – FU

The raw emotion and vulnerability is what immediately strikes me when I first listened to Greta Isaac‘s latest single F U. Her talent for conveying such a sensitive notion through her sweet mellifluous vocals and insightful lyrics is astounding. The simple soundscape of the soothing acoustic guitar strums highlights even further Greta Isaac‘s tender vocals.

Sigh, pretend it’s ok
Now I feel ashamed
For wanting to feel something other than sad
Mum says I’ve changed
Lost too much weight
She never liked you that much anyway

Discussing the song F U, the young Welsh singer-songwriter said, “’F U’ deals with this idea of wanting to turn back time and undo things that, with perspective, you know were harmful. I think with this growth and awareness of yourself you can find some peace and clarity from upsetting points in your life. But sometimes our armour can’t hold us together for longer than we want and we’re left thinking: I wish I didn’t have to go through that. I didn’t deserve that.“

Well I think we can probably all think of an experience which we wish we had lived differently, if only we could turn back time. This song will touch so many. Of course hindsight is 20/20 vision! This wistful tune can be heard on Greta Isaac‘s latest six song EP titled Pessimist which was released in 2021 so don’t wait to check it out!
