Waves Rush In – Travellers Dream

Waves Rush In aka Sam Branson is a singer/songwriter based in Oxfordshire, UK.
“Travellers Dream” is the first single of the Waves Rush In upcoming EP. It has been composed as a tribute to the Earth explorers and written as Sam was travelling through the Moroccan mountains and felt at peace for the first time in a while following covid restrictions.

Sam said: “I was recently lucky enough to travel to Morocco which is the most foreign place I’ve been since Covid started last year, in 2020. As we arrived at night and got in the car, I wound down the window and was struck by the thickness of the air, the silence of the environment around me as we passed Moroccon buildings with local dogs barking in the streets and the sounds of ancient prayer.
As the wind blew through my hair I realised that I hadn’t felt more at peace in the last couple of years and I found it so fascinating that I was in a place more foreign than I’d been in such a long time, yet I was the most at home in my heart.
As we wound up through the mountains through the snaking roads, towards the full moon reddened by the desert dust, it dawned on me that sometimes it takes us to travel and explore to reconnect to the place of home in our hearts.“

The slow but rhythmic pace of the song does feel like a dream which is highlighted by the beautiful addition of vocals in different chords and Sam’s high pitch voice over this constant guitar riff. We simply don’t want it to stop.
We’re inside travellers dream.
