Mar Malade – Cabriolet

The first thing I thought when I heard the song Cabriolet by Mar Malade was, I want to listen to it again … and again … and again! There seems to be so much happening in the song yet it is effortlessly smooth. Indeed, the young German duo who make up Mar Malade, Alexander Hauer and Michel Martins Almeida layered the instruments and their voices on top of one another which created a lively, groovy tone. This unique sound invites one to attentively listen to and distinguish the numerous instruments.

Bake me like an apple pie
Taste me sweet and sour
There’s no time for a salty life
I can be your mushroom
Activate your appetite
Oh yeah, meet me in the washroom
I will clean your laundry right

There is certainly something seductive in the lyrics and combined with the dulcet vocals and lively instrumentation, the hit Cabriolet is charmingly irresistible. Mar Malade released the self-titled debut album in 2021. We are sure you will love it so check it out!
