Yehra – Dirty Love

HOT! Very hot… I think my keyboard is currently melting. Honestly I don’t know if this is due to global warming, or Dirty Love, Yehra‘s third song on their EP Magnetic, released in 2021. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I believe Yehra IS global warming. This single is soooooo sensual and sexy, it makes Barry White look like a spice girl. Sorry. No offense. I love Barry White too. And the Spice Girls were hot too… back then.
This track is just early spring, so put your headphones on and love each other!

The duo, composed of Barbadian-Canadian singer Jen Mahon and Danish producer Rasmus Liebst released Daydreaming and Magnetic early 2021, before dropping the love bomb Dirty Love. The three songs are from their superb EP, where you’ll also be able to listen to Resonate and On & On.
“Most of the songs on our upcoming EP are slow and mellow. With ‘Dirty Love’ we stepped a bit out of that comfort zone, and made a more danceable record inspired by 70s disco, while still keeping our signature slow tempo.” – said Rasmus Liebst in June 2021.
Jen’s voice is so hypnotic, so smooth, and the sound of the bass and guitar is so round! This work on the octaves and hi-hat rhythm will remind you of the sideburns and bellbottoms era!

Funnily enough, Jen Mahon and Rasmus Liebst have been working together for almost a decade now, before officially creating Yehra, without ever having met in real life! They have been sending ideas and work over the Atlantic. We could definitely say they are pioneers in remote working, way before covid. Imagine their feeling when they’ll meet for their first concert…

– Nope, that’s him over there…
– Oh sorry…
