caaaaseyyyy – ghost in the machine

This song reminds me of Neo in the Matrix, first feeling distraught discovering the reality behind his universe, but then realising he’s got powers and knowing how to use them could lead to great achievements. This is the same kind of energy I receive from ghost in the machine from caaaaseyyyy. The LA based artist’s vigorous creativity not only flows in his usage of vowels in his name but also in the very addictive tracks he has composed and produced lately.

Among the numerous elements which compose ghost in the machine, I think the echoes and work on the vocals, the steady and hypnotic drums (especially the kick, like the song’s heartbeat) and, of course, the well-positioned “bug effect” on the guitar at 2:26 are the ones which made me play this single over and over.

Despite the seriousness of the lyrics, the easy-to-remember chorus and its associated chill effect will engrave the following words in your memory:
